Teatro do Silêncio is a creative organisation founded in 2006 by Maria Gil, which has developed projects based on artistic research and experimentation.
Teatro do Silêncio has occupied Carnide’s Public Washhouse since 2011; it is a community space that functions as a public washhouse during the week and as a venue for performances, installations, concerts, training sessions, artist residencies, publication launches and various events at weekends.
Teatro do Silêncio’s artistic directors are Maria Gil and Miguel Bonneville.
