A talk between a Philosopher and an Anthropologist
debating the notion of time in the city (Lisbon, Portugal)
On the 17th of February of 2025, Rita Ochoa and André Barata as part of the Intermittent City project, had a talk on the notion of time in the city at ISCTE with the anthropologist Graça Índias Cordeiro. The objectives of the talk was to produce a critical thinking about the urban temporalities, their intermittent dynamics and the tensions between spontaneous practices (bottom-up) and the practices of urban governance (top-down) from Graça and André research perspectives. The talk was recorded and moderated by the architect and researcher Rita Ochoa, and will be transcribed to be part of the book that we are preparing, as an output of the project.
