Architectures Of (inter)Action

At the invitation of the Order of Architects (Southern Regional Section) and on behalf of the University of Beira Interior, the Intermittent City project was presented at Casa das Caldeiras, Coimbra, Portugal, by its coordinator Rita Ochoa.
This presentation took place in the initiative “Architecture to the Center – III Regional Forum of Architecture”, with the theme “to design, to promote and to govern a region”.
First, it focused on the program “Architectures of (inter)Action”, which has been promoting collaborative strategies between University and Community, in partnership with the public sector and local entities, to explore urban dynamics and architectural solutions with direct application in real contexts.
Then, it presented the Intermittent City project, focusing on temporary uses as tool to (re)activate vacant spaces and abandoned buildings.
