Chloé Darmon is now part of our team

On the 6^th of December of 2024, the architect and PhD student Chloé Darmon joined our team. She will be part of the production of several outputs of the project, and also helping us to disseminate the final results of the research. Chloe’s research is focused on the public space of the washhouse in Portugal and internationally, exploring their potential new uses. She integrates women’s studies, feminist practices and perspectives applied to urbanism and architecture. She emphasizes the washhouses’ role as water infrastructure, which forms an underground network of micro-public spaces, serving as a transitional zone between rural and urban areas, contributing to the formation of resilient cities.
