Exploring Urban Dynamics

The Intermittent City project was presented in an open lecture at Università IUAV di Venezia, Venice, Italy, entitled “Intermittent City and Landscape. Exploring Urban Dynamics”. In addition to the presentation of the project, the lecture focused on a set of green bottom-top initiatives and informal gardens in Lisbon. Urban dynamics in Covilhã were also explored, relating Art, Architecture and Landscape. After the class, works from students of the 5th year, on Marghera (Venezia) and Taranto (Puglia), were discussed in the context of integral design approach, followed by laboratory activities.

The trip also included a visit to the “LABORATORIO PRIDE – PRO RESEARCH IN INTEGRAL DESIGN ENVIRONMENT (Ca’ Tron)” and to the Project Archives of IUAV.
