Mobility and public space
Focus Group promoted by Intermittent City
During Phase 2 of the Intermittent City project (Connect_Analysis and Discussion), a series of Focus Groups brought together urban stakeholders, researchers, governmental officials, and community representatives. These sessions aimed to delve into thematic discussions evaluating the impacts, synergies, and potential transformative effects of Intermittent Practices on the urban landscape.
The inaugural meeting, held on February 16, 2024, at Galeria Antecamara, centered on the theme of urban mobility and public space. Participants included António Lourenço (“Sarah Afonso’s Bicycle Train” and “Comboio de Bicicletas”), João Bernardino (“Ciclo Espresso Oriente” and “Comboio de Bicicletas”), Inês Sarti Pascoal (IST researcher and and participant in diverse mobility activities), Joana Albuquerque (APSI and BipZip “Brincar de Rua“), Mário Alves (MUBi), Rita Castelo Branco (Campo de Ourique Superblock), and Rita Jacinto (representing pedestrian accessibility for the Lisbon City Council). The proceedings were overseen by Project Consultant João Seixas (FCSH/NOVA).
