The Repair Café is a community initiative where individuals can bring their broken items and learn how to fix them with the help of volunteer repairers. This free event fosters the revival of basic problem-solving skills and promotes sustainability by reducing the need to buy new items every time something breaks. Originating in the Netherlands in 2009, the Repair Café concept has spread globally, reaching Portugal in 2016. These events provide a fun and educational experience, encouraging people to reconnect with the practical skills that have faded over the years.
