A total of 22 municipal vegetable garden parks, covering 9.9 hectares across various neighbourhoods, constitute the urban agriculture network of Lisbon, consisting of 888 plots.
Integrated within urban parks and gardens, these spaces transform underutilized land into vibrant hubs of activity, foster community interaction, environmental education, and creative uses of urban land.
Embedded in the city’s green infrastructure, these spaces create a seamless integration between natural and built environments, fostering urban sustainability and resilience.
