Founded in 1992 by Victoria Thornton, the Open House Worldwide is a network of more than 50 organizations hosting festivals and conversations about architecture, design and cities across the globe. Lisbon is part of the network since 2012.
Organized by the Architecture Triennale, the OHL is a weekend-long festival that includes dozens of spaces – monuments, theatres, private houses, schools or churches -, visited for free creating opportunities to discover places that demonstrate the decisive role of architecture in people’s lives and illustrate the value of built heritage.
