The sequence of activites at the parking lots

Park(ing) Day is an international event which happens in several cities across the World, with the goal of temporary occupy parking lots, to create an event open to the public which allows to set up activites that involve all the community.
Its ambition is to inspire a different conception of the city, in which the streets are not only the cars’ realm but shared spaces that can host art, activism, and cultural expression and be social exchange points for the community.
The initiative has born in San Francisco by Rebar group, inspired by Gordon Matta Clarke’s Fake Estate project and motivated by the abundance of streets in the city. Today is a global “open source” project and an international event which takes place all over the world.
