“Intermittent Cities” was one of the four finalists in the “Research” category of the Lisbon Triennale Millennium BCP Universities Competition Award. The project was selected from 111 proposals, corresponding to 46 schools, from 22 different countries.
Thus, it was selected to integrate the Triennale’s core exhibition Multiplicity, at MNAC Lisbon (curators Tau Tavengwa, Vyjayanthi Rao) and the book Emerging voices on new architectural ecologies (Circo de Ideias + Architecture Triennale).
The proposal coordinators Alessia Allegri, Rita Ochoa and Maria Matos Silva were responsible for one of the guided tours of the exhibition, in November.
Specifically, for the Universities Triennial 2022, the proposal was developed in a collaboration of three Portuguese universities (FA. ULisboa, ISA. ULisboa and University of Beira Interior), inviting PhD and master’s students to explore temporary uses and practices of sharing in different scales and urban contexts, through different disciplinary approaches.
